A few months ago I saw a brilliant presentation about how Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream!” speech would looks like with slides. Unimaginable right? Or should we rather say unnecessary?
The presentation’s core message was that while preparing a presentation, always ask yourself: “Do I really need that slide?” Or even better before even starting to prepare any presentation, ask yourself: “Do I even need slides?”
Chances are that your answer will be: “NO!”
Martin Luther King didn’t need slides and perhaps neither do you.
And if you still hesitate, do what my mentor Florian Mueck preaches, ask yourself: “Would Steve Jobs approve it?”
I have a dream that more people begin to think differently about slides.
